NUC Identifies Over 37 Illegal Universities In Nigeria
Maiyaki emphasized this during an interview with Channels Television in Abuja, noting that arrests have been made with the involvement of the Department of State Services.
The Acting Secretary of the National Universities Commission (NUC), Chris Maiyaki, revealed that the commission has identified 37 unauthorized universities in Nigeria.
Maiyaki emphasized this during an interview with Channels Television in Abuja, noting that arrests have been made with the involvement of the Department of State Services.
He urged parents to check the NUC website for a list of legal and illegal universities in Nigeria to ensure their children aren’t victimized.
Maiyaki’s comments came after the suspension of degree certificates from two West African countries, following an undercover journalist’s report on obtaining a degree within two months in Benin Republic and subsequently participating in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
