Nobody can challenge us in 2027 – Wike
Wike made these remarks during a thanksgiving service hosted by Senator Barinada Mpigi in Koroma, Tai Local Government Area of Rivers State on Sunday.

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has exuded confidence, asserting that his political camp will face no challengers in the 2027 elections.
Wike made these remarks during a thanksgiving service hosted by Senator Barinada Mpigi in Koroma, Tai Local Government Area of Rivers State on Sunday.
He emphasized the strength of his political coalition, stating, “With the forces we have, I don’t see anyone who can challenge us. It feels like 2027 is just around the corner. I personally can’t wait for it. Our party, the PDP, and the opposition, APC, stand united here unlike anywhere else. This unity is what some people resent. Despite attempts to divide us, we remain steadfast.”
Wike also called for support for President Bola Tinubu’s economic reform agenda, acknowledging the challenges of transforming the nation’s fortunes in a short period.
He remarked, “We must continue to support Mr. President and his decisions, even if they may not yield immediate results. Patience and perseverance will ultimately lead us to our desired destination.”
Distinguished guests at the event included Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Minister of Works Dave Umahi, Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly Martin Amaewhule, and other dignitaries.
