While an alleged statement from the Minister on Sunday claimed her appointment as minister aligns with Nigerian law regarding NYSC, another communication from her office stated she had not commented on the matter yet.
The status of Minister Hannatu Musawa’s National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) enrollment has sparked conflicting statements.
While an alleged statement from the Minister on Sunday claimed her appointment as minister aligns with Nigerian law regarding NYSC, another communication from her office stated she had not commented on the matter yet.
The Deputy Director of the Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation, Suleiman Haruna, clarified that the Minister had not issued any statement on the issue.
The controversy over her NYSC status arose when it became known that she was still participating in the scheme.
Hannatu was among the 45 ministers assigned roles by President Bola Tinubu the previous week following their Senate confirmation.
