No plan to increase price of petrol – NNPC Says

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has stated that there are no immediate plans to raise the price of petrol. NNPC’s chief corporate communications officer, Olufemi Soneye, emphasized that rumors about a possible increase are unfounded.
Soneye urged Nigerians to ignore such speculations, reassuring them that there is sufficient availability of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) across the country.
Additionally, NNPC clarified its relationship with oil marketers and reiterated that there is no subsidy, despite previous reports suggesting a reduction rather than complete removal.
