Speaker House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas has emphasized that Femi Gbajabiamila’s legislative and infrastructure achievements are unparalleled, spanning 20 years of exemplary service in the House of Representatives.
Abbas expressed doubt that any contemporary lawmaker could match Gbajabiamila’s contributions, acknowledging his exceptional leadership.
The speaker also endorsed Fuad Laguda as Gbajabiamila’s successor, citing confidence in Laguda’s ability to continue the legacy.
Gbajabiamila, an alumnus of the University of Lagos, sponsored various projects, including a 484-bed hall, addressing accommodation challenges at the university.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ogunshola, praised Gbajabiamila’s support while acknowledging the need for additional government assistance to enhance facilities.
