Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has expressed his unwavering commitment to peace in the region, emphasizing that he is willing to pay any price for it.

This statement was made during a special convocation ceremony at Pamo University of Medical Sciences, where he pledged to honor the peace agreement brokered by President Bola Tinubu.

The political discord between Fubara and Nyesom Wike led to 27 lawmakers defecting from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC), the party to which Wike is currently affiliated at the central government level, resulting in the resignation of 9 commissioners from Fubara’s cabinet.
