Nigeria’s Osimhen completes loan move to Galatasaray
Galatasaray SK has officially announced the loan signing of Victor Osimhen from Napoli.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the Turkish club confirmed that they have secured a deal to bring Osimhen to Rams Park for the 2024/25 season.
The club also disclosed that the striker will receive a net annual salary of €6,000,000 during his time with them.
Osimhen arrived in Turkey on Monday, following the finalization of the agreement between Galatasaray and Napoli.
As part of the loan arrangement, Galatasaray will cover the full salary of the Super Eagles forward throughout his stay, though there is no obligation for them to purchase him after the season concludes.
This loan deal marks the end of a lengthy transfer saga that saw Napoli drop Osimhen from their squad for the season.
Despite initial interest from Chelsea and Saudi Arabia’s Al Ahli, those potential deals ultimately fell through.
In his first press conference in Turkey, Osimhen expressed his eagerness to hear the Galatasaray fans cheer his name when he scores for the club.
