Nigeria Customs Service Receives Over 573,000 Applications for 3,927 Vacancies

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has received a massive response to its 2024/2025 recruitment, with 573,519 applications submitted for 3,927 available positions.
This comes just one week after the recruitment portal opened. Finance Minister Olawale Edun confirmed that the Federal Government approved the hiring of 3,927 officers.
Abdullahi Maiwada, the NCS National Public Relations Officer, provided a detailed breakdown of the applications across various cadres.
In the superintendent cadre (general duty), there were 249,218 applications, and 27,722 applicants for support staff.
The inspector cadre saw 115,634 applicants for general duty and 12,952 for support staff.
The customs assistant cadre, which requires secondary school qualifications, attracted 153,593 applicants for general duty and 14,400 for support staff.
