President Bola Tinubu has officially endorsed Adewale Adeniyi as the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) on Friday.
This appointment, effective from October 19, 2023, was confirmed through a statement by Willie Bassey, the director of information for the secretary to the government of the federation.
Tinubu has tasked Adeniyi with leveraging his extensive experience in his new role, aligning with the regulations laid out in the Public Service Rules (PSR).
Adeniyi had been holding the position in an acting capacity since taking over from Hameed Ali in June.
