In Port Harcourt, the capital of Rivers State, a Nigerian Air Force helicopter, identified as NAF MI-35P, crashed on Friday morning.

The incident was confirmed by NAF spokesman Edward Gabkwet, who stated that all those on board survived with minor injuries.

The crash occurred at 7:45 am during an operation targeting economic saboteurs in Rivers State. The five-member crew is currently receiving medical attention at NAF Medical Centre Port Harcourt.

Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, Chief of the Air Staff, is en route to Port Harcourt to assess the situation, ensure the well-being of the crew, and issue further directives, as mentioned in the official statement.
