Tunde Bakare, the general overseer of the Citadel Global Community Church, has expressed that the late singer Mohbad faced the consequences of associating with negative influences during his lifetime.
Mohbad, who passed away on September 12 and was laid to rest the following day, has generated ongoing debates on social media regarding the circumstances of his demise.
During an event at The Envoy Nation, a UK-based church, Bakare commented that the late artist had connections with individuals of ill repute and led a troubled lifestyle, failing to anticipate that he would meet an untimely end in his youth.
Bakare also questioned the appropriateness of the name “Mohbad” during his speech.
It’s important to note that thousands of fans have protested nationwide, seeking justice for Mohbad, and the Lagos police have launched a special investigation into his death, with an autopsy on his exhumed remains pending the results.
