Mohbad bags Three Nominations at 17th Headies Awards

The late singer Mohbad has been posthumously nominated for three awards at the 17th edition of The Headies, solidifying his enduring impact on the Nigerian music industry.
Mohbad, who passed away in September 2023, received nominations in the **‘Afrobeats Single of the Year’** for his feature on *Egwu* by Chike, **‘Best Collaboration’**, and **‘Best Street-hop Artiste’** for his song *Ask About Me*.
The Headies, one of Nigeria’s most prestigious music awards, announced the nominations via X on Wednesday. The selection process covered music materials released between April 1, 2023, and July 31, 2024.
Mohbad’s recognition at The Headies adds to his growing posthumous accolades, as his music continues to resonate with fans across the country.
The 17th edition of The Headies is set to take place on April 5, 2025.
