Miyetti Allah Lauds Tinubu For Creating Livestock Ministry
The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) has commended President Bola Tinubu for establishing the Ministry for Livestock Development.
MACBAN President, Baba Othman-Ngelzarma, praised this decision on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily programme, highlighting the untapped potential of the livestock sector and the opportunities for economic growth and job creation.
He expressed optimism that the ministry would transform livestock production, processing, transportation, and security.
Tinubu announced the ministry’s creation to address pastoralist-farmer clashes, but the move has received mixed reactions, with some concerned about increased governance costs and others supporting the new focus on livestock development.
