Former Kaduna Central Senator and human rights activist, Shehu Sani, expressed his view on the speculated merger of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) with the Labour Party (LP), likening it to installing a Ferrari engine in a Peugeot vehicle.
Sani conveyed this sentiment on Thursday via his X (formerly Twitter).
While there were reports suggesting a potential merger, the Labour Party promptly dismissed the rumor, emphasizing that they were not working on such an arrangement.
The National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Obiora Ifoh, clarified that the media had sensationalized the news, affirming that the party had not discussed the way forward post the 2023 general elections.
