Mbappé Set for Real Madrid Debut as They Face Atalanta in UEFA Super Cup
Kylian Mbappé is expected to make his eagerly awaited debut for Real Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup on Wednesday night at Warsaw’s National Stadium, where they will face Atalanta.
Real Madrid, the reigning Champions League titleholders, will take on Atalanta, who secured the Europa League crown last season.
Mbappé, who joined Madrid last month and recently concluded a break following his Euro 2024 participation, is keen to capture his first trophy in a Real Madrid shirt.
The French star is likely to lead Madrid’s attack, with Rodrygo and Vinícius Júnior providing support on the wings.
Jude Bellingham, despite limited pre-season involvement due to the Euros, is also expected to start.
Madrid will be without Nacho and Toni Kroos, both of whom departed after their Champions League final victory over Borussia Dortmund. Eder Militão and Aurélien Tchouaméni are expected to step into the starting lineup to fill the gaps.
Atalanta, on the other hand, has strengthened its squad with new additions, including the permanent signing of Charles De Ketelaere, Ben Godfrey from Everton
