HAM Foundation took a transformative step in community development by awarding the Manko 1.0 Grant to 500 deserving students in a ceremony held at foundation office in Ilorin Wednesday, November 13, 2024.

This event not only showcased the foundation’s commitment to educational growth but also underscored the vital role of financial support in empowering youth to pursue their academic dreams.

The Manko 1.0 Grant Award, designed specifically for students with demonstrated academic potential, provides financial relief that enables recipients to fully focus on their studies. For many of the 500 students, the grant eases the burden of educational expenses and paves the way toward higher academic achievement and personal growth.

Mr. Mustapha Mayaki, who welcomed beneficiaries and guests, highlighting the foundation’s enduring dedication to educational empowerment. The keynote address was delivered by Mrs. Memunat Mamzuma, North Central Regional Coordinator for UNDP/NJFP. In her speech, she emphasized how educational initiatives like the Manko 1.0 Grant play a critical role in transforming communities, encouraging students to stay dedicated to their goals and become agents of positive change.

The awarding of the grants was a powerful moment for the beneficiaries, who received not only financial support but also encouragement from distinguished guests and community leaders. Representatives from key student and community groups, such as the National Association of Kwara State Students (NAKSS) and various Kwara North associations, expressed their admiration for the foundation’s efforts and acknowledged the lasting impact these grants would have.

HAM Foundation’s commitment to student support extends beyond the Manko 1.0 Grant, as it regularly sponsors major exams such as WAEC, NECO, and JAMB, easing the path for young people at multiple educational levels. The foundation also champions projects in health, agriculture, water access, and digital economy skills, all designed to uplift and empower communities.

For these 500 students, the Manko 1.0 Grant Award signifies more than just financial aid—it represents an opportunity to pursue dreams, overcome challenges, and contribute meaningfully to society. Through this program, HAM Foundation reinforces its vision of cultivating a generation of leaders poised to drive progress and uplift communities across the region.
