Governor Seyi Makinde has submitted a report on the Ibadan explosion to President Bola Tinubu during a meeting at the presidential villa in Abuja.
Expressing gratitude for Tinubu’s support, Makinde pledged his administration’s commitment to assisting victims and holding those accountable for the incident.
The explosion occurred on January 18 in the Bodija area of Ibadan, resulting in five confirmed deaths and 77 reported injuries.
Makinde noted that over 90 percent of the victims have been discharged, and structural integrity tests are ongoing for approximately 230 properties near the blast site in Bodija.
