LG polls: Saliu Mustapha canvasses support for APC candidates

Ahead of Saturday’s Local Government Council Election in Kwara State, Senator representing Kwara Central in the National Assembly, Saliu Mustapha, has called on eligible voters in the state to rally behind all candidates of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the elections to ensure a landslide victory.
In a statement released by his Media Assistant, Nasif Sholagberu, on Thursday, Senator Mustapha, noted
that the APC-led administration had positively impacted on the lives of the people of Kwara State and deserved to be voted for.
He reassured voters that the APC remains committed to transparency and good governance, promising that the party’s candidates will work tirelessly to address the needs of their respective communities.
“Our state has made significant strides under the APC leadership. To maintain and expand upon these achievements, we must elect dedicated and capable leaders at the local government level. I strongly urge you all to turn out in large numbers and vote for all candidates of our great party, the APC, to secure victory this Saturday, September 21,2024” the lawmaker said.
Senator Mustapha who is the Turaki of Ilorin further encouraged the people of the state to ensure a peaceful atmosphere before, during, and after the elections, stressing the importance of a free and fair electoral process.
He also called on the candidates and supporters of the five political parties participating in the election to conduct themselves responsibly, urging them to avoid violence and strictly adhere to electoral guidelines.
