LG Polls : Amb Dada Inaugurates Grassroot Canvassers for APC Chairmanship candidate in Ifelodun

Ahead of the forthcoming Local Government Elections in Kwara, a stalwart of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Ifelodun Local Government, Ambassador Olumuyiwa Patrick Dada has unveiled Eighteen Youths Grassroots canvassers in all the 18 wards of the local government, to reaffirmed his support for the success of the APC Chairmanship candidate and Vice; Hon Femi Rasheed Yusuf and Hon. Nike Ajibola.

In a vibrant ceremony which took place on September 15, 2024 at Femi/Nike Campaign office in Omupo, saw a large turnout of Party Executives, local supporters, and political enthusiasts from Ifelodun LG.

Speaking at the event, Ambassador Dada who is from Oro-Ago ward, emphasized the importance of grassroots engagement in the upcoming election, highlighting how the canvassers will play a critical role in reaching out to communities, addressing concerns, and mobilizing voter support for Hon. Femi.

Amb. Dada who reiterated his confidence in the grassroots movement, said “I believe in Femi Yusuf, we’ve been together during the Late Governor Lawal’s regime and I am glad that am doing this for him.”

“Femi is a man of the people, he is credible and qualified to champion the affairs of our local government. I am optimistic that we will come out victorious at the end of the poll,” Amb. Dada said.

He therefore urged the good people of Ifelodun LG to campaign vigorously and vote massively for all APC candidates.

Kwara House of Assembly member representing Omupo Constituency, Hon. AGF Salahuddeen, who inaugurated the Team drawn from all the wards in Ifelodun, tasked them with grassroots outreach, including door-to-door campaigns and local voter engagement.

The lawmaker commended Amb Dada for his support, saying that “the gesture marks a significant step in Hon. Femi’s campaign strategy, that will strengthen local connections and build momentum ahead of the election.”

Ifelodun APC Chairman, Architect Abubakar Luqman for his part, said “the bold move demonstrates Amb. Dada’s commitment to engaging with the community and harnessing grassroots support for the Success of our Candidates in the forthcoming election.”

In his address, APC Chairmanship candidate for Ifelodun Local Government, Hon. Femi Rasheed Yusuf, appreciated the convener of the event, Amb Dada for his support and commitment of the new canvassers, noting that, the step underscores the value of community involvement in driving positive change.

Femi who stressed the value of grassroots engagement in building a stronger and more responsive political party, said “this step demonstrates Amb. Dada’s commitment to engaging with the community and harnessing grassroots support for my success in the coming election.”

Also speaking, former Special Assistant on Transport to Kwara Governor, Hon. Awobimpe Salaudeen Rasheed Mayan praised the initiative, stating that it highlights the importance of community involvement and a strategic move to boost APC’s presence in Ifelodun.

Mayan expressed gratitude to the new canvassers for their commitment to the party, charging them to judiciously carried the task given to them.
