President Bola Tinubu urged Muslims across Nigeria to utilize the Ramadan fasting period for praying for peace and stability in the nation.
Speaking at the commencement of the annual Ramadan tafsir at the State House mosque in Abuja, Tinubu emphasized the significance of the fasting period, highlighting its teachings of reflection, love, and sacrifice.
He expressed gratitude for another Ramadan, acknowledging the challenges faced by the country but urging for collective efforts in addressing them through discipline, kindness, and neighborliness.
Tinubu called for prayers for Nigeria’s challenges such as kidnapping and banditry, while emphasizing the importance of forgiveness, patience, and generosity in teachings by Islamic clerics.
Additionally, he encouraged leaders to lead with wisdom and humility, pledging support from the Muslim community towards national progress.
Chief Imam Abdulwahid Suleiman prayed for guidance and wisdom for Nigeria’s leaders in addressing the country’s challenges, reaffirming the Muslim community’s support.
