In Commemoration of Gov. Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq Two years in office, The Kwara State Primary Health Care Development Agency (KWSPHCDA) Has Organized a week-Long routine Immunization and livesaving intervention in 8 Poor performing Local Governments in Kwara State.
The Immunization Programme is designed for childrens under five years of age in Ilorin west, Ilorin East, Offa, Kaiama, Oke-Ero, Moro Baruteen and Ifelodun LGA.
The Immunization Programme tagged “LOCAL IMMUNIZATION DAYS AND INTEGRATED SERVICE DELIVERY” was Flagged off earlier today at Alanamu Basic Health by the Kwara State Governor Mall Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq represented by his Deputy Governor, Mr Kayode Alabi.
While Speaking at the Event, The Kwara State Governor, Mall. Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq reassured the People of Kwara State of bringing quality healthcare services to the grassroots.
He Said his administration has made various quality interventions and improved health outcomes by selecting more than twenty primary healthcare centres for upgrade, which are at multiple stages of completion across the state.
AbdulRazaq added that the state had established the State Emergency Routine Immunization Coordination Centre with adequate funding for its smooth operation to sustain the gains of interrupting transmission of vaccine-preventable diseases and revamping routine immunisation in the state.
He added that Kwara State was adjudged the best state in the country in both preparedness and coverage during the ongoing COVID-19 vaccination and also excellent performance from periodic independent assessment by the National Bureau of Statistics and World Health Organization.
In conclusion, Gov Abdulrazaq appreciated the management and staff of the Kwara State Primary Healthcare Development for their resilience and determination to ensure no single community is left out in getting Quality Health Service.
In her part, The Executive Secretary, Kwara State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Dr Nusirat Elelu, said the week-long which is Organized in Commemoration of Gov Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq second anniversary in office is aimed at ramping up immunisation coverage and other primary health care interventions.
The Event was Attended by Kwara Government Officials, Member KWHA, Community Leaders, Kwara Health Workers and others.
