Kwara’s New Water Resources Commissioner Promises Enhanced Collaboration with Water Corporation, RUWASA

The newly appointed Commissioner for Water Resources in Kwara State, Hon. Usman Yunusa-Lade, has pledged to establish a cooperative and effective working relationship with the Kwara State Water Corporation and the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (RUWASA) in Ilorin.

During separate meetings with the managements of these agencies, Commissioner Lade emphasized his commitment to revamping them in alignment with the vision of Kwara State’s Executive Governor, Mallam Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq.

He also encouraged the agencies to collaborate with key political figures, including Kwara State’s National Assembly members, to facilitate essential projects for the state, in addition to ongoing efforts by the government and donor organizations.

Commissioner Lade sought the agencies’ cooperation and understanding, highlighting that such collaboration is essential for achieving the best outcomes for the people of the state.

Earlier, Mr. Oladipo Adewumi Olorunfemi, the General Manager of Kwara State Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency, and Alhaji Buhari Kayode Sani, Secretary of the Water Corporation in Ilorin, briefed the Commissioner on the challenges facing their respective agencies.

They expressed gratitude for the state government’s efforts in providing water resources and sanitation services but emphasized the need for continued collaboration with donor agencies to ensure the provision of adequate clean water for the citizens.
