In a disappointing turn of events on Sunday in Ilorin, Kwara United faced a 2-0 loss to Lobi Stars.

Despite a penalty opportunity in the 54th minute, Kwara United couldn’t capitalize as Paul Samson missed the shot.
Expressing his disappointment, a fan, Shuaib Abdulkareem stated that the loss had dampened his New Year celebrations, transforming joy into sadness.
Abdulkareem refrained from blaming the coach, emphasizing the players’ subpar performance.
In a contrasting viewpoint, Murtala Sulaiman attributed the defeat to the coach’s decisions, pointing out that certain players were overlooked, and the ones currently in use were not essential for the team’s current situation.
Sulaiman acknowledged the effort of the players on the field but emphasized the need for strategic choices.
The match marked Kwara United’s 11th loss this season.
