Kwara Poly Mass Comm sets to honor past HODs

The Department of Mass Communication, Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin is pleased to announce its upcoming event dedicated to recognizing the exceptional contributions of the former Heads of Department (HODs).
The event tagged “Celebrating Leadership Per Excellence,” will take place at 10 AM, Wednesday, May 22nd at the Rear Admiral Lawal Auditorium in the Polytechnic Premises.
Ex-HODs to be honored are, Mr. Muibi Lawal Babatunde (Pioneer HOD 2010-2017), Mr. Femi Oderinde (2017-2019), Mr. Yisa Oloruntoyin Idris (2019-2022), and Dr. Sa’adudeen Abdulrasheed (2022-2024).
The “Celebrating Leadership Per Excellence” event will commence with an opening remark from the current HOD, Mr. Olohungbebe Fatiu, followed by a series of tributes from the department’s Lecturers, Institute Officers, Alumni, and Students of the department.
As announced the event will feature the presentation of awards to the former HODs, acknowledging their dedication, commitment, and invaluable service towards the growth and success of the department.
The event will also honor the past administrative staff who have served in the department since the department’s inception.
This event also aims to inspire Students and aspiring communication professionals, reminding them of the importance of strong leadership in shaping the future of the mass communication field.
Members of the Press, the Polytechnic community, and students are invited to join in celebrating these remarkable individuals and their lasting legacies.
