Kwara PDP Scribe, GreatKay gives out cash gifts to needy Party, Community members

In the spirit of Ramadan and to mark his birthday celebrations, the State Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara, Mr. Abdulrahman Kayode popularly known as Greatkay, has embarked on a philanthropic gesture that has warmed the hearts of many across his Constituency.
Greatkay, a young politician and serial entrepreneur, has demonstrated his commitment to uplifting the welfare of Party members by distributing cash gifts to hundreds of select individuals across the seven zones of Ubandawaki ward in Ilorin West local government area of the State through the Alhaji Usman Ubandawaki led ward party leadership.
The massive cash palliative of Kwara leading opposition party’s scribe also found its way to the apolitical members of the community through the Alowonle led Ubandawaki Youth Development Association (UYDA) as beneficiaries were also drawn through it and randomly selected assemblies and chambers within the ward including; Pakata Roundabout Assembly, Talu Olowufunfun Assembly, Jimoh Tailor Sakele Assembly, Ajamajebi Assembly, Alhaji Abdullahi Wura Assembly, Onikanhun Assembly, Baba Mansuru/Shege Assembly, Oniluru Assembly, Gbalasha Assembly and host of others.
Furthermore, as part of efforts to alleviate the hardship occasioned by the current economic challenges on vulnerable members of his community, the Kwara PDP Secretary has, since the beginning of Ramadan, been distributing bags of rice in anonymity to those in need within his community, to ensure that they have something to feed on during this month of fasting.
Greatkay’s efforts have not gone unnoticed, as beneficiaries have expressed their gratitude for his selfless actions, which have brought relief to them and their households. His compassion and generosity reflect the true spirit of Ramadan and exemplify the principles of service and kindness.
To enable him carry out this philanthropic gesture, the Kwara PDP Secretary had to suspend the 2024 edition of his annual Qur’an Competition that he has been planning since the beginning of the year. He said he channeled the money meant for the competition towards the cash palliative for the downtrodden. According to him, this particular act is imperative, considering the current level of hardship experienced by vulnerable households in the society.
As Greatkay continues to spread joy and support to those in need particularly in this month of Ramadan, his actions serve as a reminder of the importance of compassion and solidarity in building a stronger and more inclusive community.
