The Governorship Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State, Alh Abdullahi Shuaibu Yaman has mourned justice Shafiya Titi Daibu who died on Monday.
Yaman in a statement obtained by Sho Pen Online described Justice Daibu as a disciplined, God-fearing and a philanthropist of note.
The statement reads in full, “One of the hardest truths of life is knowing people we love and need will die. And we would eventually die ourselves.”
“The death of our sister, Justice Shafiya Titi Daibu (Nee Nagode) is particularly devastating. She was a disciplined, God-fearing and a philanthropist of note. She would be remembered as an excellent mother and a superlative woman who distinguished herself in her chosen career. “
“Unfortunately, we lost her to the crude hands of death at a time she was most needed.”
“May her soul rests in peace. And may Allah give the family, especially the husband and the children, the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.”
“I commiserate with the Maimartaba Ilory and Chairman, Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union, IEDPU, the Bench and the Bar over the passing away of this distinguished legal luminary.”
