Kwara Hotel : No contract was sealed between KWSG and Crystal Group – Gov Abdulrazaq’s aide
In a recently released PDF Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document, Abdullateef specified that Craneburg Construction is the sole recipient of the contract, and there is no dual contract for the project.

Ibraheem Abdullateef, the Senior Special Assistant on Communication to the Kwara State Governor, has clarified that the Kwara State Government did not grant the remodeling contract for Kwara Hotel to two firms.
In a recently released PDF Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document, Abdullateef specified that Craneburg Construction is the sole recipient of the contract, and there is no dual contract for the project.
According to him, “While the state executive council did indeed approve a concessioning to Crystal, the approval was conditional upon the House of Assembly backing it. No legislative approval was communicated for the concession; hence, no contract was sealed. The ONLY firm that has been awarded the contract is Craneburg Construction. There are no two contracts on the project.”
Abdullateef further explained that the state government is not immediately investing the N17.8bn for the remodeling. Instead, the contractor, Craneburg Construction, will finance the project, and repayment will occur gradually over time.
He however assured Kwarans that the Hotel renovation will not adversely affect other ongoing state projects and essential needs.
