Kwara Govt doles out Laptop, Phones to Fadama NG-CARES Facilitators
The facilitators, in addition, also received training to enhance their productivity as regards the project implementation of the delivery platform.
In preparation for the second phase of disbursement of the Fadama NG-CARES, the Kwara State Government has presented Laptop Computers and Android Phones to the 32 engaged community facilitators working for the platform in the 16 Local Government Areas of the State.
The facilitators, in addition, also received training to enhance their productivity as regards the project implementation of the delivery platform.
Addressing the trainees, the State Project Coordinator (SPC), Kwara Fadama CARES, Engr. (Dr.) Isiaka Toyin Busari charged the Community Facilitators to carry out their responsibilities according to the guidelines of the project.
He advised them to use the gadgets judiciously, adding that the project team members will ensure that the implementation of the project is executed judiciously towards achieving its set objectives.
According to the Project Coordinator, that is the only way the mission of the project could materialise and get the packages delivered to the poor and vulnerable in the state accordingly.
Engr. Busari expressed the gratitude of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for releasing the gadgets to Fadama CARES Delivery Platform.
He, however, cautioned the facilitators against discrimination and inadequate documentation of data, enjoining them to properly handle the office gadgets in their custody.
Busari explained further that it is the pattern of implementation that will determine the success of the intervention programme by Governor AbdulRazaq, stating that the disbursement will add value to the record of the people-oriented projects embarked upon by His Excellency to transform the citizens’ lives.
He commended the Governor for his passion to deliver democratic dividends to all and sundry in the State, thanking all the stakeholders of the Kwara Fadama NG-CARES for their support and expertise, which, he said, has tremendously facilitated the progress achieved so far.
The training session witnessed presentations on the Overview of Fadama NG-CARES Result Area (RA) 2, Second Phase, Geo-referencing of farm location, and Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA), among others.
