KS1 Malaika Denies Death Rumor About His Mother
Sulaimon Alao Adekunle, widely known as KS1 Malaika, has dispelled rumors about his mother’s death. The confusion arose after a post by Azeez Malaika, a relative of the Fuji musician, which announced the passing of his mother.
In his Instagram tribute, Azeez wrote, “I never imagined you’d leave without saying goodbye, mother. The most painful part is that you departed while I was away. Rest in peace, mother.”
This led to widespread reports suggesting the singer had lost his mother, with some implying that Azeez and KS1 Malaika are siblings with the same mother.
KS1 Malaika took to Instagram to clarify that while Azeez is indeed his relative, they do not share the same mother. He criticized bloggers for spreading false information and assured fans that his mother is “alive and well.”
“She is alive and healthy. Bloggers should verify their information before publishing,” Malaika stated. “My mother is well and in good health. Azeez is my relative, but we do not have the same mother.”
KS1 Malaika began his musical journey early, performing in a Quranic school in Agege, Lagos. He established his Fuji band in 1983 and has since earned numerous awards and a global fanbase for his talent.
