Kogi Election : INEC denies claims of tampering with results on IRev portal
According to a statement by Mohammed Haruna, INEC’s national commissioner, the most precise and current Voters’ Accreditation Data is stored in the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS), employed for authenticating and accrediting registered voters at polling units on election day.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has refuted claims of tampering with accredited voter figures in the Kogi governorship election results displayed on the INEC Result Viewing (IReV) portal.
According to a statement by Mohammed Haruna, INEC’s national commissioner, the most precise and current Voters’ Accreditation Data is stored in the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS), employed for authenticating and accrediting registered voters at polling units on election day.
The BVAS automatically preserves the accreditation data of all voters.
