Kogi Assembly Asks EFCC to remove Yahaya Bello From Wanted List

The Kogi State House of Assembly has called on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to remove the “wanted” label on former Governor Yahaya Bello.
The resolution came after Jibrin Abu, a House member, introduced a motion condemning the EFCC’s actions as a “smear campaign.”
Abu criticized the anti-graft agency’s claim that Kogi State could lose N80.4 billion without significant impact, suggesting it was implausible.
Former Deputy Speaker Enema Paul urged the EFCC to follow the rule of law, while Speaker Aliyu Yusuf advised the EFCC to avoid heavy-handed methods, emphasizing that everyone must respect the law.
