JUST IN : EFCC declares ex-Kogi governor Yahaya Bello wanted over N80.2bn fraud
The EFCC has announced the pursuit of former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello for alleged involvement in economic and financial crimes amounting to N80.2 billion.
The declaration, made via the agency’s social media, urges anyone with information on his whereabouts to come forward.
This development follows the Attorney-General’s call for Bello to submit himself for investigation.
Tensions rose between both parties in the past 24 hours, with the AGF criticizing attempts to obstruct EFCC’s duties.
He emphasized the importance of upholding the rule of law and urged cooperation with law enforcement agencies.
