Janazah Prayer Held for the 11th Balogun Gambari of Ilorin, Alh. Laaro Buhari
The family of Late Alhaji Abdulkareem Laaro Buhari, the 11th Balogun Gambari of Ilorin, has held a janazah prayer for him following his passing in the early hours of Friday.
Alhaji Laaro Buhari, born on February 27, 1927, passed away at the age of 97.
The prayer was led by the Chief Imam of Ilorin, Sheikh Muhammad Solihu OON at Balogun Gambari Compund in Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State.
Following the janazah prayer, the deceased was laid to rest according to Islamic rites. The event was attended by family, friends, Kwara government officials, traditional title holders and a large number of community members who came to pay their respects and honor the legacy of the late Balogun Gambari.
Alhaji Laaro Buhari became the 11th Balogun Gambari in 1988 during the tenure of the late 9th Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Zulukarnain Gambari. He served with dedication, contributing immensely to the community throughout his tenure.
