JAMB extends Direct Entry registration to April 25
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced another extension to the Direct Entry (DE) registration for 2024, now moving the deadline to April 25th.
Initially set for March 28th and later extended to April 11th, this further extension aims to accommodate candidates facing difficulties in registering due to various challenges.
JAMB attributes the deadline shift to implementing new measures to address infractions in the DE admission process.
The board emphasizes its commitment to ensuring the integrity of the registration process and urges candidates with questionable credentials to abstain from registration venues to avoid detection and prosecution.
Fabian Benjamin, the board’s spokesperson, acknowledges the challenges faced by candidates in security screening measures and pledges to make the process more user-friendly while maintaining vigilance against fraudulent certificates.
Additionally, candidates from institutions that have not verified their certificates will still be allowed to register, but efforts to prevent the use of dubiously acquired certificates remain unchanged.
