IYD 2022 : IEYDA begs FG, ASUU to end Strike

The Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association (IEYDA) under the auspices of the Emir of Ilorin, Alh Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, has called on youths in the country to be innovative and industrious in actualising their set goals.

The call was made in a statement
to commemorate this year International Youth Day celebration signed by the National President of the Association, Alh. Abdullahi Babatunde Salau and the National Publicity Secretary, Alh. Mohammed Uthman Jagunmo in Ilorin, the kwara state capital.

International Youth Day is annually celebrated on the 12th of Aug. around the globe to bring
youth issues to the attention of the international community and celebrate the potential of youths as partners in today’s global society.

The Ilorin Emirate Youth used this year’s occasion to implored the Federal Government and the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) to resolve their issues and end the strike without further delay.

The statement noted that most of the students were joined bad gangs, added that, not only for the future of the children, but also for the sake of the country.

The IEYDA advised ASUU to adopt more dialogue for the sake of the students that are being compelled to spend extra years above their co-students in private institutions.

The Ilorin Emirate Youth then enjoined parents not to allow their wards and children to involve in any act that would be tanishe image of their respective family and country as a whole.
