The Publisher of Ovation International Magazine and former presidential candidate on the platform of the National Conscience Party (NCP), Mr Dele Momodu, has said there is no way a candidate that does not belong to a party that possess nationwide structure can win a presidential election in Nigeria.
He made this utterance during an interview with the Vanguard newspaper.
Dele Momodu who recently declared his intention to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023 on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), calrifys that it is possible for a party that lacks nationwide structure to win local elections, but not presidential. He added that an individual who wish to become a president of Nigeria, must belong to Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) or All Progressive Congress (APC).
It is widely known that All Progressive Congress (APC), along with its main rival, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), are the two major contemporary political parties in Nigeria.
