Renowned Afrobeat artist, David Adeleke, also known as Davido, has suggested the possibility of stepping away from the music scene following the release of his upcoming album.
The musician, famous for hits like ‘Unavailable,’ shared this insight on his verified X account late Thursday.
Davido expressed feeling pressured by undisclosed individuals who seem keen on his exit from the industry.
To bring them peace, he announced his intention to cease music production after his next album drops, stating, “Yall niggas really want me out the game that bad ?? Oya after next album I no do again. So una fit get peace.”
Fans took to X to share their reactions, with some urging him to reconsider his decision, emphasizing his significance to Nigerian music.
This revelation comes amidst a resurgence of online sparring between Davido and fellow artist Wizkid on X.
