“I’m Not Pregnant for Any Governor” – Nengi Clears the Air on Pregnancy Rumors

Former Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) housemate, Nengi Hampson, has denied online rumors suggesting that a Nigerian governor fathered her child.

Speculations had surfaced claiming that the 27-year-old reality TV star had given birth to a child for a 65-year-old governor and had allegedly become his fifth wife.

Addressing the claims in a recent post on X, Nengi expressed her frustration, stating that while she initially wanted to ignore the rumors, she felt the need to speak up due to the involvement of individuals she deeply respects.

“As much as I believe social media lies aren’t worth my time, I’ve come to accept that we live in a world where people are quick to spread falsehoods without restraint. So, let me be clear—I am not pregnant for any governor,” she wrote.

The reality star emphasized that she would not allow the rumor to distort her personal life or affect those close to her.

“I’ve chosen to speak because this isn’t just an attack on me; it involves people I hold in the highest regard. I won’t allow a beautiful and personal part of my life to be turned into something ugly,” she added.

While confirming her pregnancy, Nengi refrained from revealing the identity of her partner. Instead, she wished her followers a happy Valentine’s weekend and stated her desire to experience her pregnancy peacefully.

“While I continue to mind my own business and enjoy my pregnancy in peace, I wish you all love and a happy Valentine’s weekend,” she concluded.

Nengi gained widespread recognition after participating in BBNaija Season 5, where Laycon emerged as the winner. In 2020, she was appointed Senior Special Assistant on Girl Child Development to Bayelsa State Governor, Duoye Diri.
