IEYDA holds special prayer, empowerment in honor of Buhari’s CoS, Prof Gambari 

The Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association (IEYDA) under the auspices of His Royal Highness, The Emir of Ilorin, Alh Dr Ibrahim Zulu Gambari, on Tuesday organized a Special Prayer and Empowerment Programme for the Needy in Honour of Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, the Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari. 

The event which took place at the association Secretariat, Aishat Adepate House, Edun Area, in Ilorin, Kwara state capital, was witnessed by Traditional rulers, Government officials, members of the association and the beneficiaries.

Some of the items distributed at the event included; Sewing machines, Grinding machines, foodstuffs, Cash grants and miscellaneous to support petty traders who were drawn from the 5 local governments that make up Ilorin Emirate.

In their separate remarks, the President of the association, Alhaji Babatunde Salaudeen, the National Publicity Secretary of the association, Alhaji Uthman Jagunma said that the event was aimed at offering special prayer for the chief of staff to president Buhari, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari and assist the needy. 

The duo said that the gesture was in furtherance of the philanthropic disposition of the association.

They however urged the beneficiaries to make good use of the items given to them. 

SHO PEN ONLINE reports that the event had the attendance of Islamic Clerics, traditional title holders and notable dignitaries in ilorin.
