Shagaya stated this while speaking during an inauguration dinner held on Tuesday in Abuja.
According to him, Today marks a significant moment in our nation’s history as we come together to inaugurate a new chapter of leadership and progress in the 10th National Assembly. It is with great humility and a deep sense of honor that I stand before you as the newly sworn-in Member of the House of Representatives representing the resilient and dynamic people of Ilorin West/Asa Federal Constituency.
This moment fills me with immense gratitude, and a profound sense of responsibility. I am immensely honored and grateful for the trust you have placed in me, and I vow to serve with utmost dedication, integrity, and passion.
I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the Almighty Allah for granting me victory in the elections. I also want to extend my gratitude to all the people who have supported me throughout this journey; His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kward State, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazak, my friends, my family, the party executives, and stakeholders alike.
This celebration is for us all because without your unwavering support and steadfast guidance, I would not be standing before you here today. As we embark on this journey together, we do not know what tomorrow holds, but let us remember that while the challenges we face are seemingly great, so too are the opportunities that lie before us. From education and energy, to healthcare, technology and national security – let me reaffirm my commitment to truly making a difference in the lives of people – a difference for good that outlives my Tenure.
Come what may, let us draw strength from our shared values and common purpose and vow to work together to improve the lives of our constituents, uplift our communities, and position our state and Nigeria as a beacon of progress and advancement.
I truly believe that today, God willing, will mark the beginning of a new chapter in our journey toward progress, development, and prosperity. A chapter in our nation building where our collective power as citizens forges a path of inclusive governance, transparency, and accountability. And so, I would like to express my profound gratitude for your invaluable support and presence again here today. For your prayers, and encouragement, guidance and support. I do not take it for granted. My hope is that we navigate this journey together, guided by the values that define us and create a lasting legacy of service to others.

Once again, I extend my heartfelt appreciation for your presence today and as you embark on your return journey home, I wish you safe travels.
