Despite several failed attempts to eliminate the fuel subsidy during Buhari’s term, he disclosed his feelings at the Katsina Consultative Forum’s annual dialogue.

Muhammadu Buhari, the ex-president of Nigeria, expressed contentment when President Bola Tinubu, his successor, raised the price of petrol.
Despite several failed attempts to eliminate the fuel subsidy during Buhari’s term, he disclosed his feelings at the Katsina Consultative Forum’s annual dialogue.
Buhari initially believed the removal of the fuel subsidy would decrease visitors to his home in Daura.
However, he observed that Nigerians, determined to fuel their vehicles, continued contributing funds and organizing efforts to visit and pay homage to him, even after the petrol price increase by Tinubu.
