How I was scammed while trying to join Wizkid’s Star Boy label : Seyi Vibez reveals
Nigerian musician Seyi Vibez recently shared a story about a past encounter where he fell victim to a scam while attempting to join Wizkid’s StarBoy Entertainment label.
Speaking in an interview with Wazobia FM, the ‘Bullion Van’ singer recounted how, at the age of 13, he searched online for ways to join the label, found a contact number, and was instructed to pay N10,000 for a registration form.
Despite making the payment, he was subsequently blocked by the individual posing as Wizkid’s recruitment officer.
Reflecting on his journey, Seyi Vibez emphasized the importance of perseverance, hard work, and avoiding scams in the pursuit of success in the music industry.
Now 23 years old, Seyi Vibez has risen to fame with his unique musical style that resonates with street culture.
He continues to make waves in the industry, collaborating with notable artists and maintaining his connection with his roots.
In August 2023, he credited his upbringing in Ikorodu, Lagos, as a significant influence on his musical career. Seyi Vibez’s latest project, an EP titled ‘NAHAMciaga,’ was released in December of last year.
