How I Moved from Carpentry to Earning Millions on TikTok – Peller reveals

Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, has revealed that he was once a carpenter before becoming a successful content creator on TikTok.
Speaking on a recent episode of *Rubbin’ Minds*, Peller shared insights into his journey from humble beginnings to earning between ₦15 million and ₦20 million weekly from TikTok.
Peller disclosed that his journey began at the age of 13 when he first attempted to learn a trade at a printing press. However, he often skipped work, fearing he would end up like the aging vulcanizers he saw struggling to make ends meet.
His truancy was eventually discovered by his parents, who reprimanded him severely. When asked to choose a skill he genuinely wanted to learn, he picked carpentry. Despite initial reluctance, he dedicated himself to the craft but grew discouraged by his boss’s modest lifestyle.
“I saw that my boss was still driving a small car, and I wondered when I would be able to afford mine,” he recalled.
During his time as an apprentice carpenter, Peller stumbled upon TikTok and decided to give content creation a shot. What started as a fun pastime soon turned into a lucrative career.
“Before TikTok, it was just school and carpentry. I didn’t even plan to make money from it at first—I just wanted to have fun,” he said.
Addressing speculations about earning ₦200 million, Peller clarified that while the figures were exaggerated, his income from TikTok is substantial. He revealed that he makes about $2,000 to $3,000 per live stream and goes live at least three times a week.
“I don’t even ask for gifts during my live streams. I just talk, and by the time I check afterward, I could see earnings of $2,000 or more from just 20 to 30 minutes of streaming,” he explained.
When asked about his estimated weekly earnings, he confidently stated that he makes between ₦15 million and ₦20 million.
From a young carpenter to a TikTok sensation earning millions weekly, Peller’s story highlights the power of digital platforms in transforming lives.
