Hon. Arinola Lawal Begins WAEC, Tuition Fees Payment for 120 Outstanding Students in Kwara
The initiative, undertaken through the Mohammed Lawal Foundation and scholarships were awarded to 120 outstanding students in the constituency in October 1, 2023.
In a bid to empower and uplift the educational prospects of the youth in Ilorin East Constituency, Hon. Arinola Fatimoh Lawal, a distinguished member of the Kwara State House of Assembly, has officially commenced the payment of WAEC and tuition fees for 120 scholarship students.
The initiative, undertaken through the Mohammed Lawal Foundation and scholarships were awarded to 120 outstanding students in the constituency in October 1, 2023.
The noble venture is part of Hon. Arinola’s commitment to fostering education and reducing the number of out-of-school children in the local government.
The payments began on Monday, January 15, 2024, starting with five prominent schools in the region. Among the institutions included are St. James CAC Secondary School, Sheikh AbdulSalam Secondary School, United School Secondary, GDSS Fate, and Government Secondary School, Fate.
Other notable schools include St. Anthony Senior Secondary School, Cherubim & Seraphim College, Sabo-Oke Ilorin, G.G.S.S – Oke-Suna, Ilorin, G.D.S.S- Oja-Gboro, Ilorin, and Burhanudeen Senior Secondary School Oja-Gboro Ilorin.
Expressing optimism about the impact of this scholarship initiative, Hon. Arinola Fatimoh Lawal stated, “I believe this scholarship program will contribute significantly to reducing the number of out-of-school children in the local government. It is a step towards empowering our youth to pursue their aspirations and dreams.”
While addressing the scholarship recipients, Hon. Arinola urged them to remain focused on their education and strive for excellence in their examinations. She expressed her hope that the Almighty Allah would grant the students increased wisdom, knowledge, and intelligence.
The initiative has garnered positive feedback from the community, with many commending Hon. Arinola Fatimoh Lawal for her dedication to the educational well-being of the youth in Kwara. The ongoing efforts are expected to make a lasting impact on the lives of the scholarship recipients and the broader community.
