The previous 15th edition, took place in Atlanta, Georgia, in the United States, marking the first time the ceremony was held outside of Nigeria. This international venture showcased the global appeal and recognition of Nigerian music.
Since its inception in 2004, the Headies Awards have played a crucial role in determining the success of Nigerian artists. Notable superstars such as Olamide, Wizkid, and M.I Abaga have emerged as consistent winners, securing multiple awards throughout the years.
