Headies award opens submissions for 2023 edition

Nigerian music’s biggest award has announced the opening of entries for the 2023 edition, marking its 16th year of celebration.

The prestigious music awards have become a significant event in the Nigerian music industry, recognizing outstanding achievements.

For the 2023 edition, the eligibility period covers songs and projects released from January 2022 to March 2023.

Artists and music professionals are encouraged to submit their entries before the submission window closes on Friday, June 16, 2023.

The previous 15th edition, took place in Atlanta, Georgia, in the United States, marking the first time the ceremony was held outside of Nigeria. This international venture showcased the global appeal and recognition of Nigerian music.

Since its inception in 2004, the Headies Awards have played a crucial role in determining the success of Nigerian artists. Notable superstars such as Olamide, Wizkid, and M.I Abaga have emerged as consistent winners, securing multiple awards throughout the years.
