In continuation of its annual poverty eradication program, A non governmental organization (NGO), Grand-Charity Youth Development founded by Dr. Audu Musa Idowu on Sunday empowered youths in Kwara State with working tools
During The event held at the organization’s office in Ilorin, the state capital, sewing machines and hairdressing equipments were distributed beneficiaries who were selected from various Youths Associations in the state.
Speaking with our correspondent shortly after the event, The Director of programs of the organization, Miss Halimah Gegele, said the gesture was birthed from the aims of the organization founder, Dr. Audu who choose to do everything in his capacity to add to the youth development.
According to her; “Grand-Charity youth development is a non governmental organization that specializes in girl child education, women & youth development, campaign against gender base violence and medical outreach.
“This particular project, we have done the first version of it last year where we brought in beneficiaries from association of tailoring, caterers and cake bakers association and we make sure that individuals are connected automatically to their various association before we gave them the equipments.”
Halimah further explained that, “this year due to the large request that we received, we decided to make it group by group, so, we invited youth groups in Ilorin to come and pick up their empowerment tools.”
She however admonished the beneficiaries to use the equipments given to them to grow their various businesses.
Beneficiaries in their separate interviews with Sho Pen Online expressed their profound appreciations to the founder of the foundation, Prayed almighty Allah enrich his pocket abundantly.
