Gov Sani Welcomes PDP Defectors to APC, Assures Them of Equal Rights

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has received top opposition leaders who defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), assuring them of equal rights and privileges as long-time party members. Speaking at a mega rally in Murtala Square, Kaduna, the governor emphasized that all APC members, whether old or new, would be treated the same.
Sani urged the defectors to bring in more supporters, attributing APC’s growing popularity to its leadership at both state and federal levels. He expressed confidence that the party would dominate the 2027 elections, from the presidency to state assemblies.
The governor pledged inclusive governance, promising projects across Kaduna State regardless of political or religious affiliations. He also called on party leaders to offer constructive criticism, reminding them of their accountability as leaders.
Prominent defectors include former Kaduna governor Ramalan Yero, Senators Shehu Sani, Suleiman Hunkuyi, and Danjuma Laah, as well as other key political figures from the PDP and NNPP.
