Fubara Reconciles with Wike, Acknowledges Him as ‘Boss’ Amid Political Crisis
The reconciliation occurred at the rededication service for the 2023/2024 Legal Year of the Rivers State Judiciary.
Fubara has affirmed his continued allegiance to Nyesom Wike, referring to him as his ‘boss,’ during their first meeting in Rivers State after a political dispute.
The reconciliation occurred at the rededication service for the 2023/2024 Legal Year of the Rivers State Judiciary.
Fubara, addressing the congregation in a light-hearted manner, humorously requested they refrain from acknowledging guests to avoid another controversy.
He emphasized that despite the past political crisis and its challenges, Wike remains his superior, and he holds no intention of defaming anyone.
Fubara also expressed his commitment to governing effectively for the people.
The event concluded with Wike’s arrival, where he exchanged a handshake with Fubara and sat alongside him.
The tensions had initially escalated with an attempted impeachment, resulting in the House of Assembly being set ablaze and security agents allegedly firing at Fubara, but the situation seems to have calmed down following the intervention of Bola Tinubu.
