Fubara is the architect of crisis rocking Rivers – APC

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has accused Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State of being the primary instigator of the ongoing turmoil in the region.
The party’s statement was prompted by allegations from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) claiming plans to forcibly take control of the Rivers State government.
In a Thursday statement, Felix Morka, the APC national spokesperson, dismissed the PDP’s accusations as baseless and diversionary, pointing out that they fail to address the fundamental issues plaguing the state.
Morka asserted that Governor Fubara, since assuming office, has demonstrated a blatant disregard for the rule of law.
The governor purportedly invalidated the democratically elected Rivers State House of Assembly and replaced it with an unauthorized, three-member assembly, in direct violation of Nigeria’s constitutional provisions regarding legislative composition and the separation of powers.
The APC spokesperson further criticized Governor Fubara for allegedly misappropriating public funds without legislative approval, thereby undermining democratic governance and the rights of Rivers State residents.
Morka concluded by suggesting that a more responsible and committed governor would prioritize conducting local government elections to restore stability and effective governance in Rivers State.
