Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, expressed regret and extended an apology to the citizens for the recent political turmoil in the state.

In his address titled ‘Peace is priceless,’ Fubara acknowledged the unfortunate events, including the House of Assembly’s fire incident and the division among lawmakers.
He visited the assembly to assess the damage and ensure safety measures were taken. The governor also acknowledged President Bola Tinubu’s intervention, which facilitated communication channels to resolve the crisis peacefully.
Fubara stressed the collective responsibility he shares with his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, in using their influence to enhance progress, security, and the well-being of the people.
He assured the citizens that efforts towards peace and progress would persist and thanked them for their support and prayers during this challenging period.
